Pork Belly in Chinese Wine

Ingredients:

A
Pork belly
600 g
Spring onion
2 stalks
Ginger
3 slices
B
Shaoxing wine
250 ml
Rock sugar
 60 g
Light soy sauce
100 ml
Water
80 ml
C
Corn flour + water (for thickening
1 tsp


Method:
1. Blanch meat in boiling water, wash and then thickly slice.

2. Place meat slices in Smart Cooker, add in spring onion, ginger slices and seasoning B, mix well.

3. Select “Steam” function, and cook for 30 minutes.

4. Thicken the sauce with cornstarch solutions and ready to serve.

Marmite Spare Ribs

Marmite Spare Ribs

Ingredients :

A
Spare ribs
500 g
Garlic
Small amount
Bird chillies
4 pc  
B
Marmite sauce
1 tbsp
Dark soy sauce
 1 tbsp
Oyster sauce
1 tbsp
Light soy sauce
1 tbsp
Sugar
3 tbsp

 
Method:
1. Clean and drain the spare ribs. Marinate the spare ribs with all seasonings B for 1 hour.

2. Add in all ingredients into the Smart Cooker.

3. Choose “Steam” function, and cook for 20 minutes.

Honey Comb Cake

Honey Comb Cake

Ingredients :

A
Caster sugar
135 g
Hot water
330 ml
B  
Eggs

Condensed milk
200 ml
Melted butter
135 g
Self-raising flour (sifted)
240 g
Baking soda
1⁄2 tsp
C
Honey
1 tbsp


Method:
1. Melt sugar in a saucepan by low heat until golden brown in colour, (do not stir), when bubble forming, add in hot water to mix well. Set aside, stir in 1 tbsp honey, mix well to let cool.

2. Beat eggs and condensed milk in a mixing bowl until fluffy, add in melted butter to mix well.

3. Sift self-raising flour and baking soda, add to egg mixture and mix well.

4. Gradually add in sugar syrup from step 1 and mix well.

5. Use a strainer to sift the cake mixture, then pour into the greased inner pot.

6. Select “Cake” function and press “Start” (45 minutes).

Mocha Butter Cake

Mocha Butter Cake

Ingredients :

A
Butter (sliced)
200g
Castor Sugar
150g
Eggs
4
Instant Coffee Powder
1 tbsp
Cocoa powder
1 tbsp
Hot Water
 3 tbsp 
Coffee paste
1 tsp
Chopped Walnut
100g
Self-raising flour
220g


Method:
1. Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

2. Add in eggs, one at a time, beat thoroughly after each addition.

3. Mix coffee powder and cocoa powder with hot water, stir until dissolved. Stir until cool. Slowly pour into butter mixture together with coffee paste and walnut.

4. Fold in sifted flour and mix until well blended.

5. Pour the batter into the greased inner pot.

6. Select “Cake” function and press “Start” (45 minutes).

*Baking time for butter cake will be slightly longer, which could be 50min to 1 hour. One can test the cake with

a skewer when the 45 min default baking time elapsed. If it’s not done, just restart the “Cake” function and reduce the baking time to 10-15 min and check afterward.

Soy Sauce Basil Leaves Chicken

Ingredients :

A
Chicken pieces

Ginger slices

Chopped garlic

Chopped shallots
2 tbsp
Basil leaves

Shaoxing Wine

Oyster sauce
1 tbsp
Light soy sauce
1 1⁄2 tbsp
Dark soy sauce
1⁄2 tbsp
Bean paste
2 tsp
Sesame oil
1 tsp
Sugar
1 1⁄2 tbsp
Chilli sauce
1 tbsp


Method:
1. In Smart Cooker, use ‘Reheat’ function to heat up 3 tbsp oil with ginger slices, shallot, garlic and basil leaves.

2. Add in chicken pieces and ‘Shaoxing’ wine, then pour in all seasoning sauce B.

3. Close lid and select ‘Steam’ function to cook for 20 minutes.

Ginger Honey Chicken Wings

Chicken wings

Garlic (chopped)

Shallots (chopped)

Light soy sauce
 2 tbsp
Honey

Method:
1. Marinate chicken wings with marinade B for an hour.

2. Pour all ingredients with chopped garlic into the Smart Cooker.

3. Select “Steam” function, 30 minutes and press “Start” to cook.

Aromatic Roast Spare Ribs

Aromatic Roast Spare Ribs

Ingredients :

Spare ribs
600 g
Sesame (toasted)
garnish

Salted Bean Paste
1⁄2 tbsp
Reddish bean curd
1⁄2 piece
 Hoisin sauce
1⁄2 tbsp
Light soy sauce
1⁄2 tbsp
Sugar
 60g 
L&P sauce
1⁄2 tbsp
Chinese wine (ShouXing wine)
1 tbsp
Five Spice Powder
1⁄2 tsp
Chopped garlic
1 tbsp
Sesame Oil
1 tbsp
Dark soy sauce
1 tbsp

Method:
1. Marinate spare ribs with all the ingredients B for 2-3 hours.

2. Pour all marinated spare ribs with sauce into Smart Cooker, choose ‘Steam’ function, press ‘Cooking’ button until the red light is lid.

3. Sprinkle toasted sesame to serve.

Lamb Chop with Black Pepper Sauce

Lamb chop

Black pepper sauce
4 tbsp
Corn flour
Some
Water
 Appropriate amount

Method:

1. Marinate the lamb chop with black pepper sauce and corn flour for 4 hours.

2. Put the marinated lamb chop with sauces into the Smart Cooker.

3. Choose ‘Steam’ function and set time to 60 minutes. Hold the ‘Start’ button for 2 seconds until the indicator light is lit.

Herbal Chicken

Herbal Chicken

Ingredients :

Free range chicken

Herbal chicken soup packet
1 pkt
Salt

Chiretta
3 slices


Method:
1. Wash and drain the whole chicken, rub 1 tsp salt all over the chicken.

2. Put 3 slices of Chiretta into the chicken stomach and marinate for 30 minutes.

3. Wash and drain one packet of the Herbal Chicken Soup ingredients and put into the Smart Cooker. Pour in 500 ml of water, add in the whole chicken and cover with lid.

4. Select “Steam” function, adjust time to 40 minutes, press “Start” to cook.

Steamed Ground Pork with Salted Egg with Garlic Rice

A - Mince Pork
Ground pork

Salted Egg Yolk (chopped)

C - Garlic Rice
Jasmine Rice
3 cups
Water
3 cups
Chopped Garlic
1 Tbsp
Melted Butter
2 Tbsp
Salt

Method:
1. Use “Reheat” function on Smart Cooker to melt butter with garlic, add in rice, salt, water and lemongrass. Mix Well.

2. Put the ground meat in a big bowl. Add salt and stir until slightly sticky. Mix in all Ingredients A until all the water is absorbed by the meat. Then use palm to pat until flat and arrange the meat mixture into a small plate. Put it on the steam rack with the chopped salted egg yolk on top of the mixture.

3. Put the steam rack with the ground pork in a bowl together into the Smart Cooker.

4. Choose the “Rice” function. Press “Start” button.
