Ingredients:
Pig’s front leg (shin and trotter portion) | 1/2 |
Coriander | 1 stalk |
Red yeast rice | 1 tbsp |
Dried mushrooms | 3 pcs(do not soak) |
Shallots | 1 head (cut) |
Beer | 2 cans |
Rice wine | 160ml |
Ginger | 4 slices |
Garlic | 5 cloves |
Sugar | 1 tbsp |
Seasoning:
Bean paste | 2 tbsp |
Soy sauce | 5 tbsp |
Dark soy sauce | 1 tsp |
Water | 500ml |
Spices:
Star anise | 2 grains |
Bay leave | 3 pcs |
Cinnamon | 1 stick |
Dried chili | 4pcs |
Black pepper | 1 tsp |
Method:
1. Boil the half of the pig’s front leg for 10 minutes, remove the smell and make it more flavourful, clean it after boiled, set aside.
2. Put in the ready to use pig’s front leg, all ingredients, seasonings and spices to the SMART COOKER, and stir well.
3. Close the lid, select STEAM function then adjust cooking time to 1 1/2 hour then press start to cook.
Hint: You may adjust the cooking time depending on your liking on the tenderness of the trotter.
