Ingredients
- 1/2 Onion (sliced)
- 8 Shiitake mushrooms (halved)
- Spring onion (cut into sections)
- 1 Potato (cubed)
- 1 Carrot (sliced)
- 2 Chicken thighs (cut into bite-sized pieces)
- A few slices of fresh ginger
- 1-2 Star anise pods
- 2 tbsp Light soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Dark soy sauce
- A pinch of salt
- A pinch of sugar
- A pinch of white pepper
- 1 tbsp Soybean paste
- 1 tbsp Abalone sauce (or Oyster sauce)
- 3 tbsp Huadiao wine (Shaoxing cooking wine)
- 1 small bowl of Water
- 2 Red bell peppers (cut into chunks)

Layer the Ingredients: Carefully place all the ingredients (except the red bell peppers) into your Buffalo IH Smart Cooker in the exact order listed above.

Set and Cook: Close the lid. Select the "Steam" function and set the cooking time to 20 minutes.

Add Bell Peppers: When there are 5 minutes left on the timer, carefully open the lid, add the red bell pepper chunks, and close the lid to finish the remaining cooking time.

Serve: Once the cooking cycle is complete, carefully open the lid, stir well to ensure the chicken and vegetables are evenly coated in the rich sauce, and serve hot!
